Need some info on the parade? Need a refresher? You've come to the right place!The BasicsAnklebiter parades take place on the second Saturday of every month at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific (unless otherwise announced). The parades always start at the Adventurer's Guild Hall in New Gridania (11.9, 13.3).The following details change every month and are announced prior to the parade:- World (server) *

The Rules
Be courteous
We welcome all people of Eorzea to join the parades. We ask everyone to be courteous to each other during the parades and afterparties.Dismiss your chocobo/mount/minions
This helps reduce the congestion, and allows more people to participate in the parade.No advertisements during the parade
We ask everyone to refrain from advertising or posting promotions regarding events/FCs/communities/etc. in say/yell/shout and CWLS during parades, events, and other Anklebiter gatherings. This includes advertising before and after the events officially begin.Contact the staff for collaborations
We ask all venues and communities of Eorzea to contact the Anklebiters’ Staff before bringing a public service or event to the parades and afterparties. Please contact us for ideas on collaborations.Is it an RP event? Can I RP?
The parades and afterparties are not officially RP events, and Anklebiters is not an RP community. However, you’re welcome to RP with other RPers at the events.
Please limit the RP dialogue to /tell or /say.
Follow general etiquettes for RP.Avoid FATEs and enemy pulls that disrupt the events
Please do not purposefully start FATEs or pull enemies that disrupt the parades and afterparties. We want the events to be inclusive for players of all levels, without putting them in danger.If an encounter starts (some FATEs start automatically in the parade routes), please help resolve it to protect the other players.✻_✻✻^✻✻_✻✻^✻✻_✻✻
Helpful TipsWho can join the parade?
Anyone!We welcome people of all heights (Lalas and friends of Lalas) and levels!We only ask that you be courteous to the fellow paraders.How do I participate in the parade?
Join the parade by traveling to the indicated Data Center on the day of the parade. As long as you are in the Crystal Data Center, you can visit other worlds via the main Aetherytes located in city-states (i.e. New Gridania).Once you're in the correct world, come find us in the New Gridania Adventurer's Guild (11.9, 13.3), located above the Airship Landing.
There is no registration system. Just come and enjoy the march of the Lalas!You will need to have unlocked the ability to leave your starting city (a part of Main Story Quest).Do I have to wear a themed outfit? What if I don't have the right glam?
Themes are suggestions only and are not enforced. We aim to build a pressure-free community. Come as you are and how you want to be! If you need help with certain glam, come chat on the Discord server for tips and help.Special parades will feature a glam or costume contest following the parade. Such parades and contests are announced along with the theme.How long is the parade?
The parade takes about a total of 2 hours with a couple rest stops between the beginning and the end. Feel free to join us at any point and leave at any point.Tips for walking in-game
During the parade, we recommend setting the walking speed to slow (num “/” key) for easier control. Use the "follow" command to automatically walk with someone in front of you. This can be achieved by targeting someone in front of you, and typing "/follow" in the chat box. Alternatively, target the person in front of you and select "Follow" from the subcommands.I haven't been to some parts of the parade route. Is that OK?
Of course! As long as you are able to leave your starting city and visit other starting cities (a part of the Main Story Quest), you can walk through the maps with us! We have players protecting everyone from monsters along the way.If you're visiting an area for the first time during the parade, don't forget to attune to the Aetheryte!You can check out the parade route here.Is it dangerous to walk in the wilderness? (PvE)
Because we march in the wilderness outside of settlements, we do encounter monsters and FATEs during our parades. Do not worry! We have enough people protecting the parade that you don't have to get involved in the combat at all.Can I take pictures of the parade?
Yes! Please do!The Anklebiters community hosts a screenshot contest every month following the Parade on the Discord server. Photo submissions are accepted for 3 days following the parade, and votes are accepted for another 3 days.1st place winner gets their photo featured on the front page of the Anklebiters Carrd website. Runner ups are featured in the Carrd photo album.Everyone is encouraged to participate in the photo contest!I can't see anything with all the character names!
We encourage participants to turn off the character name display via the system settings.I can't load into a map!
Keep calm and march on.Sometimes, the maps get congested due to the number of participants. Most likely, you won't be the only one having issues transferring maps. Stay with the group of nearby paraders.We have staff members located at the front, the middle, and the back of the parade crowd to guide you if you get separated from the rest of the parade. Follow the group, and you'll be able to re-join the others at the rest areas.Questions? Concerns?

The Paths

GridaniaWe start in New Gridania (11.9, 13.3), march past the Aetheryte and into Old Gridania (map). From here, we march through the markets, up past the lancer guild, and circle around to the North Shroud exit.

Black ShroudAs we enter North Shroud (map) we find ourselves in Treespeak (region). We cross into Fallgourd Float (aetheryte) where we take the south passage and head for Central Shroud.

NEW ROUTE!
Central Shroud (map) presents us with The Standing Corses (region) where we quickly cut through and into Sorrel Haven (region). The walk in Central Shroud is a bit treacherous, but we push on until Bentbranch Meadows (aetheryte) to give our new players a chance to attune to the crystal before exiting via the eastern gate into the Jadeite Thick (region). The path takes us through some twists and turns, but we eventually make our way into The East Shroud (map), and the Nine Ivies (region). The Hawthorne Hut (aetheryte) quickly comes into view and beckons us to our first resting place during the parade!

We gather atop The Hawthorne Hut for gposes (see pic), a quick break, and some fun chit-chat before continuing the march directly into the South Shroud (map).Silent Arbor (region) will echo with the pitter patter of many lala footsies upon entering! The path takes us to Quarrymill (aetheryte), where we will exit to the west and follow the dirty path into a little crevice. You'll notice a large, hollowed log, too. Continue on this path, across a small, wooden bridge and into the Buscarron's Druthers area. From here, go south and through the Upper Paths (region) until you arrive at the Camp Tranquil aetheryte. Continue further south from here to enter Eastern Thanalan (map).

Eastern ThanalanEastern Thanalan (map) brings us to Wellwick Wood (region) where we cross the Highbridge and make way for Camp Drybone (aetheryte). Central Thanalan (map) is just beyond there. We enter The Clutch (region) before arriving at Black Brush Station (aetheryte). The march south to Ul'Dah (city-state) is our homecoming.

Ul'DahIn Ul'Dah, we march through Steps of Nald (map) from the Gate of Nald, past the Aetheryte Plaza and shoot for the Steps of Thal (map). From here, we continue our parade onto the Husting Strips (map) (alternative route marked in blue). We march on until we reach the Royal Promenade and take a break. This is a perfect spot for group photos.

Western ThanalanAfter our rest, we march back the way we came in Ul'Dah until we reach Western Thanalan (map). The long walk from here to the ferryman is the last long journey we have before we arrive in Limsa Lominsa (city-state).

Limsa LominsaOnce in Limsa Lominsa (map), we walk through the markets, all the way to the main Aetheryte, and then just beyond it where we conclude the parade.
